INSIDE OUT
Not sure how to design your outdoor space? Make it an extension of your interior. Stick to similar color schemes and styles to make it a cohesive space. It's Florida after all, we live to be outside!

LARGE SPACE
Is your outdoor space overwhelming in size? Break it up with smaller seating areas. Design your seating areas using one main color or one pattern throughout.

SEATING FOR ALL
Choose a variety of seating styles to make everyone comfortable. Think about functionality. For dining spaces, ensure that seating is comfortable to eat at. If you have a view, be sure to place comfortable and loungy seating facing the view.

WALLED IN?
Large walls or partitions don’t have to be an eye sore. Make your wall stand out in a good way! Adorn your wall with wall planters, outdoor friendly art, and/or a whimsical fountain.

GREEN SPACE
Use greenery to cozy up a space or add privacy. For privacy, choose fast growing and hardy shrubs or trees. Grow some fresh herbs to spice up your cooking and for the sweet aromas. Don't like bugs? Plant some citronella around your space.

DEFINE YOUR SPACE
Add outdoor area rugs to define a space or add an attractive pattern or texture. Be sure to measure the area you plan to place the rug at. The rug should be large enough to extend a few inches beyond the area of the furniture, but also allow at least 6 inches beyond the area rug of free space.

MADE IN THE SHADE
Need shade? Hang pleasing drapery to cool down your space when needed and draw it back when you don’t.

FUN IN THE SUN
Add some fun to your backyard with an outdoor recreational space. Add an outdoor grade pool table, ping pong table, or cornhole set to your outdoor space.

LIGHT IT UP
Add a charming chandelier over your outdoor space or edison string light for night time ambience. Layer your lighting by adding ground lighting, such as landscape uplighting or ambient pathway lighting. Keep the bugs out with citronella candles or lanterns.

POP OF COLOR
Add a pop of color with a throw pillow or a patterned pillows to your outdoor furniture. When you are tired of that color or pattern, or just want a refresh, change out the pillow or pillow cover.

OUTDOOR SHOWER
Make your outdoor shower just as beautiful as it is functional by using stone, wood, or tile to build your outdoor shower oasis.

HARDSCAPE
Break up your backyard and add some interest with hardscape. Create beautiful footpaths with wood planking or create an outdoor seating area with mosaic tile flooring.
